Creating a default category template for automated sync is ideal for merchants with a large number of products and a single product category. Below are the detailed steps:
Step 1: Go to the Products page in EcomSend Feed → Click Create category template → Enter the Create default category template page.
Step 2: Enable the Activate this template setting → Select the default category to map to TikTok Shop and fill in the required fields → Save your changes.
Step 3: Our system will automatically sync all "Not synced" products (including existing and new ones) based on this template → Check them in TikTok Shop.

As mentioned, when you create and activate the Default category template, we will automatically sync products.
You can click the Preview button to see which products will be synced automatically. If there are products you don’t want to sync automatically, we suggest manually syncing them first before using this feature.
You can vote add an option for excluding specific products from syncing in the default template here to help us prioritize our development.
If you create a default category template but choose not to activate it, our system will not automatically sync any products based on the template.
The template's content will only serve as pre-filled information for manual syncs, which you can modify at any time.
Whether you sync manually or automatically, you need to select a category to sync to TikTok Shop. After selecting a category, our system will list the required and optional attributes for that category.
You will need to fill out the required product attributes for that category, while the additional product info can be optionally filled in.
Different categories have different required product attributes. You need to fill them out or upload files based on your product's details.
If you've already set a product weight in Shopify, we recommend choosing Sync from Shopify. You'll also need to provide a backup value in case the Shopify value is empty or doesn't meet TikTok Shop requirements. If you prefer to set a fixed weight for your products, you can choose the Use custom values option and enter the appropriate value.
Enter these values based on your package dimensions, as they will affect the shipping fee calculation.
Normally, all fields in this section are optional.
However, some optional fields may become required based on other entries you provide.
These required fields will be marked with an asterisk (*), and you will need to complete all of them to ensure proper synchronization.
You can edit the template at any time. The updated template will be applied to any products in the 'Not synced' status during the next sync.
You can delete the template at any time. After deleting the template, you will need to manually sync your products.
